A Continental Affair - Introduction

Hey Guys, I'm sure you've noticed a few changes around here, notably in the colour scheme and fonts (inspired by our hosts for Euro 2016, the French) this site will be using for the next month. This all comes with the introduction of a new series we'll be running on this site, titled, as I'm sure you've already guessed, A Continental Affair. Talking Points will be running this series to cover the drama, results and highlights of Euro 2016, the biggest International footballing tournament in the world this summer, a once in every four years opportunity to celebrate the diversity of football in this great continent.

​A Continental Affair will be running with what I hope will be daily blogs, definitely at least at the Group and Round of 16 stages, but possibly less often in the latter stages of the competition, as there are three day gaps between the RO16, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Final stages of the competition (where I hope we will see England, please!). Blogs should be up and live around 10PM each night, and you will discover the set-up pretty soon, tomorrow night following the France vs Romania match. Well I'll round off here by saying welcome to France (in spirit at least), Euro 2016 and A Continental Affair, let's celebrate this amazing month of football together!
